The probe component of the product is an organic‑matter sensor that operates on spectroscopic principles.   • Measurement principle

    The probe component of the product is an organic‑matter sensor that operates on the principle of spectroscopy. By leveraging the absorption of ultraviolet light by organic compounds, it uses the 254 nm spectral absorption coefficient SAC254 (absorbance) as a key parameter to quantify the concentration of dissolved organic matter in water, and can, under certain conditions, be converted into COD/BOD and turbidity values. This method enables continuous monitoring without the need for any reagents.

     

     

    Key Features

    Measurement parameters: COD, BOD (estimated as 0.75 × COD); the turbidity sensor is installed in a direct immersion configuration, eliminating the need for sampling and pre‑treatment.

    The sensor can also be configured as a float‑plate towed type.

    No chemical reagents required; no secondary pollution.

    Built-in cleaning scraper

    Short response time, enabling continuous measurement.

    It uses an LED light source and has a compact size.

    The host unit is equipped with an expansion bolt kit, enabling rapid installation at the wellhead.

    The host features a stainless steel housing, offering excellent corrosion resistance, waterproofing, and impact resistance.

    Rigid sealing, unaffected by temperature fluctuations.

    Supports multiple lid openings without compromising waterproofing, making on-site battery replacement convenient.

    Optional color local display unit accessory can be added.

    Low self-discharge batteries enable devices to achieve longer battery life.

     


     

    Application scenarios

    Continuous monitoring of organic matter loads in sewage within manholes, online monitoring of influent and effluent water quality at wastewater treatment plants, and continuous online monitoring of surface water, industrial discharge, and aquaculture effluent.

    Battery life: 5 minutes per measurement and transmission; each sensor operates for 10 seconds per cycle; NB‑IoT operation lasts 14 months; 4G operation lasts 14 months (based on a 266 Ah battery).

    Wireless breakpoint resumption: When the base station signal is interrupted, data is automatically saved and, once the wireless signal is restored, the timestamped data is resent.

    Bluetooth (optional): BLE Low Energy 5.1, 150 meters in open space, sensitivity: -90 dBm, transmit power: +6 dBm, standby current: 50 µA
