Measurement principle
The product employs a dual‑mode measurement approach, combining ultrasonic and hydrostatic sensing. At medium and low water levels, it leverages the non‑contact ranging capability of ultrasound to detect water level, effectively handling conditions involving water quality, suspended solids, and floating debris. At high water levels, it automatically switches to a hydrostatic sensor mounted at a higher position, using pressure to measure the water level and thereby overcoming the ultrasonic blind zone that occurs at elevated levels. This composite sensor design simultaneously addresses both the ultrasonic blind zone and the issues of clogging and atmospheric pressure interference inherent in hydrostatic measurements, making it one of the most reliable measurement solutions available today. Moreover, the two sensor systems can cross‑calibrate each other, enhancing measurement stability. In particular, it performs exceptionally well in urban manhole‑level monitoring applications.
Key Features
The hydrostatic sensor employs a weighted‑pendulum mounting, making it suitable for rapid installation and maintenance in manholes.
The host unit is equipped with an expansion bolt kit, enabling rapid installation at the wellhead.
The host features a stainless steel housing, offering excellent corrosion resistance, water resistance, and impact resistance.
Rigid sealing, unaffected by temperature fluctuations.
Supports multiple lid openings without compromising waterproofing, making on-site battery replacement convenient.
A color local display unit accessory can be optionally added.
Anti-condensation and backflow‑preventing breathing system
Low self-discharge batteries enable devices to achieve longer battery life.
Application scenarios
Measurement of manhole water levels, river channel water levels, and canal water levels is carried out in situations where external power supply is unavailable—for example, when connection to the municipal grid or a solar‑powered system is not feasible. Data are transmitted wirelessly to a server.
