Radar level gauges use millimeter-wave signals operating in FMCW mode to measure the distance to reflecting objects. Millimeter-wave radar continuously emits a continuous wave whose frequency varies with time; when the signal encounters a reflector, it is reflected back.   • Measurement principle

    The radar level gauge uses millimeter-wave signals operating in FMCW mode to measure the distance to reflecting objects. The millimeter-wave radar continuously emits a continuous wave whose frequency varies with time; when the signal encounters a reflector, it is reflected back.     Application scenarios

    Measurement of manhole water levels, river channel water levels, and canal water levels is carried out under conditions where external power supply is unavailable—for example, when connection to the municipal grid or a solar‑powered system is not feasible. Data are transmitted wirelessly to a server.

    Wireless breakpoint resumption: When the base station signal is interrupted, data is automatically saved and, once the wireless signal is restored, the timestamped data is resent.
