Measurement principle
The radar level gauge uses millimeter-wave signals operating in FMCW mode to measure the distance to reflecting objects. The millimeter-wave radar continuously emits a continuous wave whose frequency varies with time; when the signal encounters a reflector, it is reflected back. By comparing the frequency difference between the transmitted and received signals, the distance between the reflector and the radar can be calculated. Microstrip antenna array technology is employed to ensure measurement precision and accuracy.
Key Features
80 GHz frequency-modulated continuous-wave (FMCW) measurement principle, with high measurement accuracy.
Low power consumption, suitable for field use.
High signal-to-noise ratio, strong anti-interference capability, and can penetrate debris and floating objects.
Fully enclosed housing, IP68 waterproof rating—unafraid of rain or snow.
After military-grade stress screening, it can withstand extreme high- and low-temperature environments.
It has demonstrated high reliability even in lightning‑prone environments, having passed a 6 kV high‑voltage surge test.
Compact in appearance, lightweight, and easy to install.
Application scenarios
Measurement of manhole water levels, river channel water levels, and canal water levels is carried out under conditions where external power supply is unavailable—for example, when connection to the municipal grid or a solar‑powered system is not feasible. Data are transmitted wirelessly to a server.
