Wastewater from daily life—including kitchen wastewater, toilet flushing water, and laundry wastewater—must first undergo oil separation in an oil-water separator for kitchen wastewater and settle in a septic tank for toilet flushing water. After being collected via the municipal drainage network, the wastewater enters a purification tank, where microorganisms carry out anaerobic, anoxic, and aerobic processes to remove most of the pollutants before being discharged. Every 6 to 12 months, a fecal suction truck is used to pump out a portion of the sludge and sediment accumulated at the bottom of the purification tank's settling chamber.

Inside the tank, microorganisms carry out anaerobic, anoxic, and aerobic processes, effectively removing most of the pollutants from the wastewater before it is discharged. Every 6 to 12 months, sludge and sediment accumulated at the bottom of the tank’s settling chamber are partially pumped out using a vacuum truck.
