The wastewater treated in this project is typical mixed domestic sewage, characterized by a BOD/COD ratio exceeding 0.5, indicating good biodegradability. Therefore, the proposed treatment process includes A2O biological contact oxidation combined with MBR and disinfection. This process is simple to operate, requires low running costs, is easy to manage, delivers excellent treatment performance, and ensures stable operation. It is currently one of the most mature technologies for domestic wastewater treatment, effectively guaranteeing that the effluent meets discharge standards.

Wastewater from daily life—including kitchen wastewater, toilet flushing water, and laundry wastewater—must first undergo oil separation in an oil-water separator for kitchen wastewater and settle in a septic tank for toilet flushing water. After being collected via the municipal drainage network, the wastewater enters a purification tank, where microorganisms carry out anaerobic, anoxic, and aerobic processes to remove most of the pollutants before being discharged. Every 6 to 12 months, a fecal suction truck is used to pump out a portion of the sludge and sediment accumulated at the bottom of the purification tank's settling chamber.
